Interview Tips

You have mere seconds to make that first impression so it’s important to get it right. Ensure your presentation and attire is appropriate to the company, your shoes are polished and you arrive early!

Use your posture to reflect a positive attitude from the moment you walk into the building. Stand tall, make eye contact and smile. When seated, sit straight and lean in slightly.

Ensure you are prepared and have researched your potential employer. Go equipped with an interesting tidbit to share about the company.

If you’re prepared you should feel relaxed and ready to answer their questions. The interviewer is trying to ascertain the depth of your knowledge so always be honest. If you are unsure what they are asking, it’s ok to ask for the question to be rephrased or to ask a clarifying question.

Ensure you are ready with a few questions that will reflect your enthusiasm for the role and the company. You don’t have to wait to be asked as it is good to ask relevant questions through the course of the interview.

Finish your interview with words that reflect your desire to move to the next stage.
